Each shipment can have labels and other documents (e.g. customs forms, packing lists). You’ll find them on the shipment detail page.

Where to find documents and labels

Open Shipments, click the shipment you want, and scroll to the documents or labels section (the exact name may vary). There you’ll see a list of available documents, such as:
  • Shipping label – The main label to put on the parcel. Required for handing over to the carrier.
  • Customs invoice – For international shipments when required.
  • Commercial invoice, Packing list, CN22/CN23 – Other document types depending on carrier and destination.

Viewing and downloading

Click a document (or its download/preview action) to open or download it. Labels are usually PDFs. You can print them from your browser or from the downloaded file.
If you use a label printer (e.g. Zebra), ensure the carrier is set to Use ZPL labels in Carrier settings when you need ZPL format. Otherwise use the default PDF label.

When are labels and documents available?

  • After the shipment is created – Some carriers generate the label as soon as the shipment is created (status may be Processing or Dispatched).
  • After you trigger “create label” – For some flows you may need to confirm or trigger label creation. Check the shipment detail page for any Create label or Generate label button.
  • Uploaded documents – You can sometimes upload your own documents (e.g. packing list) to attach to the shipment. Look for an Upload or Add document option in the documents section.
If you don’t see a label yet, check the shipment status. An Error status might mean the label couldn’t be generated; open the shipment and look for an error message.

Printing multiple labels

If a shipment has multiple parcels, there may be one label per parcel. Download or open each label and print them. If you use auto-print (e.g. via shipping rules or printer integration), labels may be sent to your printer when the shipment is sent.
Document types (e.g. Label, Customs Invoice, Commercial Invoice) are shown in the app. If you need a document type that isn’t listed, check whether your carrier supports it and whether it’s enabled for your product or country.
