Each time Zippendo sends something to a printer, it creates a print job. You can view jobs per printer, see their status (e.g. Pending, Processing, Completed, Failed), and in some cases retry or delete them.

Where to see printer jobs

  • From a printer – Open Printers, click a printer, and open the Jobs (or similar) section. You’ll see a list of jobs for that printer.
  • From a job – You may be able to open a single job to see details (e.g. document type, shipment, status, error message).

Job statuses

StatusWhat it means
PendingJob is queued and not yet sent to the printer.
Processing / DispatchedJob has been sent to the printer (or is in progress).
CompletedJob finished successfully.
FailedSomething went wrong (e.g. printer offline, invalid data). You may see an error message; you can retry if the app allows it.

What you can do

  • View – Open a job to see what was printed (e.g. label for which shipment), when it was created, and its status.
  • Retry – For failed jobs, use Retry to send the job again after fixing the issue (e.g. turn the printer on, fix paper/labels).
  • Delete – Remove a job from the list (e.g. to clear old or cancelled jobs). This doesn’t un-print; it just removes the record.
Job lists may be paginated. Use filters or sorting (if available) to find recent or failed jobs.

Job types

Jobs can be Label or Document depending on the printer type and what you printed. Labels are usually shipping labels; documents can be packing lists or other shipment documents. If a label job fails, check that the printer is on, has labels loaded, and (for ZPL) that the carrier is set to Use ZPL labels in Carrier settings if required.
