Status overview
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | Order is new and not yet in progress. Ready for you to create a shipment. |
| Processing | Fulfillment has started (e.g. a shipment was created or is being prepared). |
| Partially Fulfilled | Some items have been shipped; others are still to be sent. |
| Fulfilled | All items have been shipped. No further action needed unless you’re handling returns separately. |
| Cancelled | The order was cancelled. You typically can’t create new shipments for it. |
| Error | Something went wrong (e.g. sync or validation error). Check the order or contact support if it doesn’t resolve. |
When status changes
- Pending → Processing – When you create the first shipment for the order (or when the system marks it as in progress).
- Processing → Partially Fulfilled – When at least one shipment is sent but not all items are shipped yet.
- Partially Fulfilled or Processing → Fulfilled – When all items are shipped (e.g. all linked shipments are sent).
- Any → Cancelled – When the order is cancelled (e.g. from your store or in Zippendo if supported).
Exact behaviour can depend on your setup (e.g. whether “sent” is updated manually or by the carrier). Use the order’s Shipments tab to see which shipments exist and their status.
What to do for each status
- Pending – Create a shipment when you’re ready to ship. See Order detail and Create Shipment.
- Processing / Partially Fulfilled – Create more shipments if there are remaining items; otherwise prepare and send the parcels and mark shipments as sent if the app allows.
- Fulfilled – No action needed. Order is complete.
- Cancelled – No shipment creation. Handle refunds or other steps in your store if needed.
- Error – Open the order and look for messages or failed validations. Fix the cause or contact support with the order number and error details.
